Give them a hand

SHAME ALERT : I waited 4 years before I had my recent mammogram.
Two of my dear friends are surviving breast cancer and they have shared their stories of multiple surgeries both for tumor removal and reconstruction, about the exhaustion that comes with the treatments, buying wigs and what size their new breasts should be. They got me thinking that I haven't checked my breast in a long, long time.
I waited because I was mad that I had to pay the full amount for 2 mammograms (the original and a call back) just because I used my own doctor and he was out of the network for my employer's insurance.
This time I had to go back again for more views of my left breast. I can't tell you how scared I was.
I was so UPSET with myself for not having yearly checkups and now I could have had CANCER all this time.
Well to make a long story short, this time was normal too but whoa I went through all kinds of scenarios from writing a will to who was going to get which of my possessions.

Here is my card for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
I found this free bra digi here
and entered it into the 2nd Annual Linky Party at Link Up for Pink a Breast Cancer Awareness Blog, this Linky Party closes on October 14th.

I used the Lifestyle Letterpress Celebrations Printing Plate to make my background in hot pink ink.
