Cahier de Costumes Francais

I am starting a Jessica Sprague free Photoshop class tomorrow and thought I would play around digitally to get my creative juices flowing.
I have been amassing a large collection of Marie Antoinette images and thought this subject would be perfect.
You all might think this is a copy of something you can buy on Etsy but no I made this all myself even if the idea is not original.

Perpetual Birthday Calendar

I wanted to show you all a great idea. I received this beautiful Marie Antoinette covered perpetual calendar as a Christmas gift from Cissy.
Now I will never forget a loved one or friend's birthday. Isn't this a great idea she had? Such a pretty organizing tool.
I have to call a few friends and get their birth dates so I can fill up the months and then all I have to do is stay a month or two ahead with my cardmaking and I will have on the ready their card to mail out and avoid that last minute rush to get one done.
Here is what the inside looks like.
Let's give Cissy a big hug and say THANK YOU CISSY.

Je T' aime

While watching a You Tube video on how to make an oval box I made this box out of letter size gray cardstock. I frenchified it up using marble paper to cover and line my box, added a sheer black ribbon band around the top, used ultra thick embossing powder to make Marie Antoinette's image shine and then applied her to the top of my beautiful oval box.
I went to the Graphics Fairy and found the fleur de lis border which was used on the card; I will give this along with the box. I played around in PS and added the cupid and heart image inside the border with a font called woodcut ornaments and the font for I love you is afternoon delight.

Mini Marie Antoinette Christmas Tree

Although this is not a good picture I thought I would post this image for posterity. I must start taking better pictures of my creations. What good is posting them if the pictures are crummy? Pin It
