I feel a sin coming on

This card was made using a "Anne Taintor" style word stamp set that I bought years ago at one of the many stamp conventions I have gone to here in Dallas. I decided it was high time to use some of the craft items I once thought were good enough to buy.

Of course I am going to send this to a very religious girlfriend who is going through rough times.

HSN's Anna Griffin card kit card

Iphone pictures aren't really that good; I will need to find a way around this problem.
ANYBODY have a good Iphone camera tip?

I made this card for my dear old aunt's 89th birthday.
I think, correct me if I am wrong Cissy , but didn't we buy this wrapping paper at a 99 cent store in Dallas?

Leonardo DaVinci Vitruvian Man card

I am entering this in the Frilly and Funkie Renaissance Man Challenge at http://frillyandfunkie.blogspot.com/2012/07/renaissance-men.html

This is what I came up with after watching Tim Holtz videos on alcohol ink techniques.

The blue background was made by dropping the alcohol ink colors stream , butterscotch and mixatives copper onto glossy white cardstock and with the felt applicator tool pounced the colors all around, then using the alcohol blending solution to spread out the color and achieve the desired effects.  To make the "leopard spots" strip, I needed to make my own stamp pad so I used Ranger's "cut and dry" stamp pad and placed the colors pitch black, latte and butterscotch on the stamp pad to get the leopard spot design  then stamped the custom inked pad all around glossy white cardstock.

My base card color is "curry" from Paper Source.
Stamp used is Just for Fun CB 9004 DaVinci Cube copyright 2000

Playing with my new Copic markers

Hi again,
I decided to take the financial plunge and buy a few copic markers but only the ones I will need to color pretty flower stamps, none of this buy the whole set business then be stuck with colors I don't want or ever use.
God love my blog partner Cissy, she had generously given me some of her stamps and this hydrangea was one. I just love the blue colors of this gorgeous plant so I went ahead and looked at all the tutorials out there on copic coloring and specifically http://justritestampers.typepad.com/justrite-inspiration/2010/07/tuesday-tutorial-hydrangea-copic-coloring.html.
Next attempt will be roses, so I will need to study the tutorials out there that give me the colors they used, then I will have a go and post that sample for all you guys to google at.
copic colors BV02, BV31, G20, G21
I couldn't buy, so I didn't use, the third color that copic artist recommend because the store was out of the color so I just went ahead using two colors for the flower and two colors for the leaves but I think it came out all right just doesn't have as much depth as when you use 3 colors.

Creative Wings Boutique Unbirthday Cake Swap

Hi ya'll,
I just finished my first ever "swap".
It was a lot of fun and it was challenging. If you know of any good swaps coming up let us know; I can see where these swaps can become addicting.

Tabitha at http://creativewingsboutique.blogspot.com had a Very Merry Unbirthday Cake Swap and so I joined. She gave me a partner and I had about a month to come up with the idea, shop for the goodies inside the unbirthday cake and get crafty and execute my idea. I found out what my partner's interests were and since she said she was a seamstress I just ran (with scissors) with that idea.

Here is my very merry unbirthday cake, notice the pincushion topper
and here are some of the unbirthday presents inside the cake

Another Crafty Secrets Linky Party

I used a stamp from the "Thinking of you" small set to make this card. I just bought the Marty Stew's butterfly punch today for 50% off however the punch is very hard to use; you really have to apply a lot of pressure to get the cut out butterfly, I am not happy with it really. Anyone else have the same problem?
